Thompson's® WaterSeal® VIP (Very Important Places) Sweepstakes
Offers A Chance To Win A Trip To One of Three Unique American Parks
Whether it's water shooting hundreds of feet into the air... 75,000 gallons of water per second tumbling towards the earth…or massive amounts of water frozen in place, the Thompson's WaterSeal VIP Sweepstakes offers a chance to see some of America's most amazing natural "waterworks" in person -- and in VIP style.
The Thompson's® WaterSeal® VIP (Very Important Places) Sweepstakes offers the winner a trip valued at approximately $5,000 to visit their choice of one of three unique and naturally beautiful American parks. Each park -- Yellowstone National Park, Glacier National Park or Niagara Falls State Park -- showcases majestic and renowned displays of water in a natural setting.
For instance, Yellowstone National Park, which spans Montana, Wyoming and Idaho, is the home to two-thirds of the geysers on Earth, including the tallest currently active geyser on Earth (Steamboat Geyser) and possibly the world's most famous geyser, Old Faithful. More than 300 geysers total, plus hot springs, mud pots and fumeroles (jets of steam from below ground) are on display at the world's first National Park.
Glacier National Park, located in Montana and bordering Canada, contains 37 named glaciers and 131 named lakes, along with breathtaking scenery. It was established as the 10th National Park in America in 1910.
Niagara Falls State Park, America's oldest State Park, is located in western New York State, and is the site of one of the world's best-known waterfalls. The Cave of the Winds Decks at Niagara Falls, America's most water-drenched decks, are a series of connected decks that allow visitors to come within 15 feet of the base of the Falls. The decks and other structures at the Park are protected with Thompson's® WaterSeal® waterproofing products.
The Thompson's Company, makers of the Thompson's® WaterSeal® brand waterproofers, stains and cleaners, demonstrate the brand's guarantee of protecting exterior wood from water damage through their VIP (Very Important Places) program, which provides support for each of the three parks.
A VIP TRIP
The Thompson's® WaterSeal® VIP Sweepstakes can be entered at the brand's Web site — thompsonswaterseal.com — between April 1 and September 30. The entry begins with a quick and easy virtual deck makeover. Guests can choose a park background to set the scene for their deck project. Next they answer a few entertaining and informative trivia questions on the three parks and Thompson's® WaterSeal® products as they move through cleaning and protecting the deck. (You don't have to answer the questions correctly to enter.) The trip includes airfare for four people, a four-night hotel stay, rental car, $1,000 spending money — and at each location, a special "VIP" event not available to the general public will be planned for the winner.
At Yellowstone National Park, the sweepstakes winner and their guest will enjoy a VIP walking tour and lunch at the 100-plus-year-old Old Faithful Inn, which is on the National Register of Historic Places and is one of the few remaining log hotels in the U.S. It also is adjacent to the Park's most well known attraction, Old Faithful Geyser. This tour includes access to parts of the hotel not open to the public.
Gardeners may be particularly interested in visiting Glacier National Park for a VIP tour of the park's greenhouse. The Director will personally escort the winner and explain the leading-edge work underway in helping grow and re-introduce native plants for parks and highway projects around the country.
Niagara Falls State Park will offer a personally guided VIP tour of the Cave of the Winds Decks and front row seats at the evening illumination ceremony which lights up the Falls in a dazzling display of colors.
