The Thompson's Company Donates 900 New Coleman Lanterns To Light Up The Night For Campers
The Hole In The Wall Gang Camp has been lighting up the lives of sick children since 1988, delivering life-affirming experiences for children with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses free of charge. Now, the Thompson's Company, makers of the Thompson's® Water Seal® brand of exterior waterproofing products, will help light up the night for extra hours of camp fun with the donation of more than 900 brand-new, battery-powered Coleman lanterns.
From early morning until after dark every summer, more than 1,000 children enjoy a beautiful setting and a wide range of traditional camp activities, such as horseback riding, boating, fishing, arts and crafts, theater, woodshop and archery. Swimming is a daily activity in a heated, zero-entry pool that allows all children to swim, regardless of mobility challenges. An exceptional tree house, mini golf course and multiple trails are specially designed to be wheelchair-accessible, ensuring an inclusive experience for all youngsters.
"Evening activities are always special," said Willow Ann Sirch, Director of Communications for the Hole In The Wall Gang Camp. "They include Stage Night, in which campers are invited to share a talent, Campfire Night with a cookout and songs and Awards Night at the end of the week, when each camper receives a award for a special Camp accomplishment. The donation from The Thompson's Company is very valuable and practical. Since the Camp has 300 wooded acres and more than 1,200 staff and volunteers, a donation of this significant size is appreciated and immediately will be put to great use."
Henry Krumrei, Product Manager for Thompson's Water Seal, added, "Our brand is committed to helping people enjoy safe, beautiful outdoor settings, like their backyard deck. We're honored to help the Hole In The Wall Gang Camp create amazing experiences for the children and families they serve."
