Products/Environmental Impact:
We are committed to providing consumers with a wide range of superior quality exterior waterproofing, protection and cleaning products that minimize environmental impact. For example, the low-VOC formulas of our Thompson's® WaterSeal® Advanced line waterproofers meet or exceed the most stringent air quality regulations.
Research & Development:
We strive to develop, manufacture and market longer-lasting, high performance products by sourcing ingredients and developing technologies that are safer for the environment such as low-VOC water-based technologies for improved air quality and biodegradable ingredients.
Manufacturing/Logistics:
We are instituting manufacturing procedures that focus on the implementation of zero discharge processes, the conversion into energy efficient fluorescent lighting and utility optimization.
We utilize efficient production scheduling and distribution systems to help conserve fuel, energy and other natural resources.
We purchase raw materials in bulk quantities, in reusable or recyclable containers and locally source them as often as possible.
Education:
We educate consumers on the importance of selecting top quality products and properly preparing surfaces and applying coatings to increase their lifespan and reduce emissions. We also provide environmentally responsible tips to help conserve energy and natural resources.
We encourage innovative thinking that brings us closer to our environmental goals.
Conservation/Community:
We support national environmental programs to help preserve and protect our valued natural resources including support of state and national parks through our Very Important Places™ Program. Further, we contribute to disaster rebuilding and other community outreach initiatives by donating needed products.
Accountability/Evaluation:
We evaluate our products and initiatives to ensure adherence to our policy and for continuous improvement.
Waste:
We conserve natural resources in our office and manufacturing facilities by recycling, energy saving and waste reduction.
