All Hands On Deck:
How-To Create An American Flag Inspired Deck

Feeling patriotic? Turn your outdoor living space into an American Flag inspired deck, by using Thompson's® WaterSeal® Deck & House Latex Solid Stains.

Prerequisite: Stain It. How To Protect and Beautify Your Wood.

Materials

• Masking tape
• Measuring tape
• Soft-lead carpenter pencil
• Straight edge
• Thompson's® WaterSeal® Deck & House Solid Latex Stains in:
  • Red - California Redwood
  • White - Cream Buff
  • Blue - Colonial Blue
• Paint pads
• Small synthetic brushes, 1 and 2" in size
• Star stencil

Measure and Mark the Deck Design

1. This design consists of two easy-to-mark shapes - four triangles and one square. These should be marked in proportion to the size of the deck. Use the straight edge and carpenter pencil to mark-off the designs on the deck.
