Choosing Between Small And Large Projects
Staining small projects
Staining small projects, such as wood furniture and porch spindles, can be quite different from staining large surfaces, like decks and porch floors. Using specific products and applicators designed for use on smaller surfaces can help you achieve a more beautiful result.
With all the nooks and crannies that occur on smaller items, it can be to your advantage to use a product like the Thompson's® WaterSeal® No Drip Exterior Gel Waterproofing Stain, which will allow you to have the amount of careful control needed for such projects.
The Gel Waterproofing Stain, due to its special gel formulation, makes it easier to get into the recessed areas and corners so typical of smaller items. In addition, there is no risk of drips!
Small projects often require a special attention to detail, and Gel Waterproofing Stain allows you to have that level of control. You can take the time necessary to carefully finish a detailed item without the fear of drips or runs.
The applicator also differs when you're applying stain to a small project. Typically, on a large surface, you would stain with a roller or paint brush. However, on a small project you would want to use a small brush or, in the case of Thompson's® WaterSeal® No Drip Exterior Gel Waterproofing Stain, you would use either the convenient applicator pad that comes with the stain, or a paintbrush.
